Functions/Services of the Clerk Treasurer's Office

• Responsible for all City funds
• Responsible for maintaining all City records.

  • View a detailed listing of fees associated with copying records and other reproduction charges.
• Attend and record the minutes of the Common Council and Board of Public Works
• Prepare/file legal notices, budgets, ordinances and resolutions.
• Prepare City and utility financial statements.
• Responsible for City payroll and benefits.
• Pay all City taxes such as: payroll taxes, sales taxes and gross income taxes, etc.
• Administer and maintain all Federal and State requirements for all Grants received by the City.
• Responsible for all revenues collected by the City and the utilities
• Responsible for all expenditures for the city and utilities
• Maintain/coordinate all computer technology needed to perform duties.
• Responsible for annual audits by the State Board of Accounts.
• Responsible for utility billings, city invoicing, processing and verifying City purchases.
• Maintain fixed asset records for the city.

Meeting Minutes

The minutes from both City Council meetings and the Board of Public Works meetings are recorded by and kept in the clerk's office. Citizens are welcome to view ordinances and resolutions at the Clerk Treasurer's office.

Transfer Site Tickets

Transfer site tickets can be purchased in the clerk's office for $12.00. Refrigerators and other freon items will be charged $20.00 each and tire disposal is $1.25 per tire 16" or smaller and $10.00 per tire 17" or larger. The transfer site is only open on Wednesday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
